Project HUG - Supporting Family in Educational Process has been prepared on the initiative of NGO Drustvo prijateljev mladine Litija and public educational institutions who recognized the need of parents and children for support in reestablishing mutual-generation dialogue, improving communication and social educational skills, and for equalizing the possibilities for social development of childen (and parents) with limited development conditions from their families.

Opportunity for solving the problems on local level and exchange of experience on national and over-national level has come from the call of the EEA Financial Mechanism and The Norwegian Finacial Mechanism - NGO fund with the forth priority theme - protection of children. In this frame our project contribute to improvement of educational and developmental environment for children and youth, improvment of standards in insitutions for educating and qualifying the children and to equalization of possibilities for social development of parents and children in family institutions (stimulation to develop parent role in family insitutions).

Project is going to improve the conditions for inclusion of children from families with lower social economical status, from families with less opportunities and for families with child with special needs into the educational system. Curative and preventive consulting activities will help children to be more successful in school and will consequently offer them better possibilities for participation on higher educational level. Project will also strenghten the links with educational system and endeavor for implementation of the results or part of results into the regular work of educational institutions to assure their permanence.
